The weeks are going quickly and week si (four) is now well and truly over!
I can't believe that I've been here for a month already, it's gone so, so quickly! It's exciting that I have another 3-4 months left! The last week has been great at school. My class had a performance for their parents and finished off classes before they go back to school for the Autumn. I'll miss them! For the performance we did Cinderella with the younger students and Little Orphan Annie with the older ones. This meant lots of wigs and crazy make-up. Being a school of a girls, we loved it.
I probably loved it a bit too much! Of course, I was the Prince in Cinderella- I'm just so darn dashing! The best part about this role was the sparkly crown I got to wear- move over Wills, there a much better Prince ready to take the throne.
We had a great time watching the children and they all did so well! Everyone at school loves playing games so we finished the night off with a few.
I've been a bit of a big kid myself this week...I went out and bought me and the girls new toys. Roller skates for them and a skateboard for me...
It's different from a skateboard in that each deck only has one wheel. So balancing is pretty hard! I haven't had the guts to take it off carpet yet but I'm building up to it! Lara also relives her youth by having a go in the kid's sheep-ride-thing in her hotel. (Someone had to do it!)
I also found out that my apartment building has a very sunny, very scenic roof! But being 19 floors up gives me a bit of a light-head!
On Saturday night we went out for some quiet drinks because we all had to work Sunday! We met some lovely Americans who whipped us at the local dice-drinking game. I felt very cheated out of my Tiger beer, but Lara and Amy were much better at the game than me!
We also discovered a very cute and sweeter-than-sweet candy and snack shop near to the girl's hotel. My sweet tooth was in over drive in there! Although I only left with a milk tea (being good).
I also discovered what I believe is the perfect place for midnight smooching...
And on that note, it's time for me to say Zi Jian! (Goodbye!) for now. My first month in China is over but I'm looking forwards to more! It really is amazing here!
